For me, painting is not a project with a defined outcome, but an ongoing way of working through perception and experience.
I generally find ideas from either studying or being inspired by other artists, observing colour combinations from nature and all media including film and print.
I find inspiration primarily through time spent outdoors, particularly in wild or overlooked landscapes.
I feel a sense of duty as well to capture landscapes, light, colour as they happen, to recognise that they were there and are part of this strange set of collective circumstances we find ourselves in that led us to all be on this earth at this moment.
I’ve always been creative, since I can remember, and I’ve always had a fascination and curiosity about creating things.
